SEPTEMBER 2009 11 - Gary Bolding: Itching & Scratching - 20 Years at Stetson University This exhibition is a survey of works produced since Bolding came to teach at Stetson University in the fall of 1989. Opening reception is on Friday, September 11, 6-8 pm in both the Duncan Gallery of Art (Sampson Hall) and in the Hand Art Center. Exhibition continues through October 30, 2009 in the Duncan Gallery of Art (Sampson Hall), and through December 3, 2009 in the Hand Art Center. 11 - Oscar Bluemner: the Making of an American Modernist Painter This selection of works from the Vera Bluemner Kouba Collection follows the course of Bluemner's transformation from German to American, from traditional representation to modernist abstraction and expressionism, and from architect to painter. Opening reception is on Friday, September 11, 6-8 pm in the Hand Art Center. Exhibition continues through December 3, 2009. 17 - Sullivan Biannual Faculty Reading.
