Arthur DeFilippo

Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) for Carson/Hollis, Conrad, Foreign Language & French Houses, Gordis, Smith, and the Service Station

Arthur DeFilippo is responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the area listed above. This includes supervision of the Resident Assistant (RA) and Head Resident (HR) staff, maintaining an area consistent for students to develop and grow, and supporting housing functions that reflect a residential environment embracing the University’s values. Arthur previously worked at the Department of Housing and Residence Life at the University of Central Florida spending two years as a Graduate Assistant and two years as a Resident Assistant. While attending UCF, Arthur received a Bachelor of Science – Liberal Studies degree and a Masters of Education – Student Personnel Administration graduate degree. Arthur has a strong passion for working with students and helping them grow on their path to becoming successful members of society. Carolyn Schenk

Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) for Chaudoin, Emily and Stetson

Carolyn Schenk is responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the area listed above. This includes supervision of the Resident Assistant (RA) and Head Resident (HR) staff, maintaining an area consistent for students to develop and grow, and supporting housing functions that reflect a residential environment embracing the University’s values. Carolyn received her BS in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she was a Resident Assistant and Undergraduate Hall Manager.  She completed her Master’s in College Student Personnel at Miami University (in Ohio)  while serving as a hall director and academic adviser.  Most recently, Carolyn has been working in career services at a small school in South Carolina. Megan Young

Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) for Residence Hall A and University Village Apartments

Megan Young is responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the area listed above. This includes supervision of the Resident Assistant (RA) and Head Resident (HR) staff, maintaining an area consistent for students to develop and grow, and supporting housing functions that reflect a residential environment embracing the University’s values. Megan started her career in Student Affairs at Middle Tennessee State University in the Office of Residential Life as a Graduate Resident Director and Assistant Area Coordinator. She most recently spent a year at the University of Missouri as a Residence Hall Coordinator for the Department of Residential Life. Megan received her Bachelors degree with a concentration in Legal Studies from The University of Tennessee-Martin and has completed her coursework for her Masters of Criminal Justice Administration at Middle Tennessee State University. Kevin Winchell

Coordinator of Housing Operations

Kevin is responsible for managing room assignments, coordinating facilities/maintenance needs, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Department. In addition to this, Kevin also supervises the Greek House Managers (GHM) and works closely with Fraternity & Sorority Affairs to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our Greek students. Kevin graduated from Stetson in 2007 with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. Upon finding out there are no “real jobs” in philosophy, he decided to stay at Stetson after graduating. Kevin came to the Dept. of Housing & Residential Life in September 2008 wanting to get back to his roots: as an undergrad, he was an RA for two years and a Hall Director for one year (all of that in beautiful Nemec Hall – long live Delta Force!), and worked with our Summer Conferences program for four years. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin at 386-822-7201 or via email at kwinchel@stetson.edu.

Justin Williams

Director of Housing and Residential Life

As Director, Justin is responsible for providing strategic development and planning for the department so that it heads in a direction consistent with Stetson’s mission and core values. He directly supervises both the professional staff and a student staff of over 70 Resident Assistants (RA), Head Residents (HR), and Greek House Managers (GHM), works with various departments and offices across the campus to provide a quality living experience, and serves as a member of the Division of Campus Life Leadership team. Justin joined Stetson after four years at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he served as a Coordinator for Residential Learning and Assistant Director. He earned his B.A. in Psychology, with certification to teach elementary and special education, from Marist College in 2000. In 2003, he earned a M.S. in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from Oklahoma State University. Jeanette Cornier

Office Manager

Jeanette Cornier has been with Stetson University for the past 11 years. She first served as an Administrative Assistant with the Chair and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Teacher Education in Davis Hall. She now serves as the Office Manager of the Department of Housing and Residential Life. As Office Manager, Jeanette is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the front office, managing the department budget, and assisting students who need a warm and friendly person to help them out. Jeanette has four wonderful children and two adorable grandchildren and currently resides in Deltona.
