Why Stetson Law?

#1 in Trial Advocacy - US News & World Report

Stetson's advocacy program is one of the best in the nation. Advocacy isn't an afterthought at Stetson; it's our core mission, and the direct consequence of the attention and resources we devote to the study and practice of advocacy.

Stetson has experienced advocates on its Adjunct Faculty who teach in the Online Advocacy LL.M., an online Advocacy Resource Center, and a Center for Excellence in Advocacy located in our brand new Advocacy Institute!

Stetson's LL.M. in Advocacy fosters participants' development into full-spectrum legal advocates by challenging common assumptions about advocacy, encouraging personal growth, and teaching how to couple advocacy skills with sound legal analysis and strategic planning.

The Program also provides students with opportunities for writing advocacy-related publishable works, creating innovative advocacy training courses, and coming to Stetson's beautiful Gulfport campus for the annual Educating Advocacy Teacher's (EATS) Conference and their final Capstone Practicum.

"There is no advocacy program like the Stetson Advocacy LL.M. As both a graduate of and now a professor in the program, I can attest that it will unlock your potential as a trial advocate. The faculty and courses are focused on the study and advancement of trial advocacy theory and practice.
