Cataloging
The duPont-Ball Library houses more than 270,000 books, 64,000 bound periodicals, and 250,000 federal documents, as well as microforms, videos, and other formats. Through the library's catalog, WebCat, more than 2000 e-books, websites, and databases are accessible.
The library uses the Library of Congress classification system and Library of Congress subject headings for the main collection.

Federal government documents are classified by Superintendent of Documents classification and for the last ten years have been fully cataloged.
