Technical Services is responsible for the following:


  • Acquisitions -- deciding what books, periodicals, and videos the library needs and buying them


  • Cataloging -- organizing materials in the library so that you can find them


  • Computers -- managing and maintaining library computers


  • Periodicals -- managing the electronic, paper, and microform journals



The duPont-Ball Library uses the Sirsi Unicorn system to integrate the online public catalog, circulation, reserves, acquisitions, and periodicals.
