Advertising on Campus

Only officially registered student organizations, departments and offices of Stetson University may advertise on campus.

Physical Options

  • Hang flyers or posters on approved catalog boards (check the CUB Marketing website to learn about their policies)
  • Reserve a table in front of the Carlton Union Building
  • Advertise in the Reporter

Advertising Policy

If you're thinking about posting flyers, banners, announcements around campus, or on your organization social media profile, make sure you read and understand Stetson University's advertising policy ahead of time to understand what and where advertisements can be posted. All advertisements that do not abide by requirements will be removed and the offending student and/or organization may be referred to Community Standards. 

All advertisements are to contain:

  1. The name of the event and the name of the registered student organization that is hosting the event
  2. Date
  3. Time
  4. Location
  5. Contact person or group information for the advertised event

Advertisements may not contain any of the following:

  1. References to Alcohol
  2. References to Drugs
  3. References to Guns or Weapons
  4. Racial or Discriminatory Language or Imagery
  5. Graphics or Language of a Derogatory Sexual Nature

 It is also important to abide by the policies of the building/space that you are posting in, so please talk to the staff within the building or check out their website in advance. For example, check out the CUB Marketing to understand the processes surrounding marketing in the CUB.
