WELL Team
The WELL Team (Wellness Educators for Life-long Learning) is Stetson University's premier peer education group, educating students on healthy lifestyles and strong decision-making skills. WELL Team members are trained and certified peer educators through the BACCHUS Network, volunteering their time to promote healthy behaviors to fellow students. Health topics include alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep management. Through fun, interactive, and educational programs, the WELL Team strives to educate students on critical components that lead to a successful college experience.

Our Programs
The WELL Team is a vibrant part of our campus community, hosting several signature events throughout the year. Aside from our signature events, we also host tables and programs throughout the school year. Be sure to follow us on Instagram or check out the Stetson University calendar of events for upcoming dates. We can't wait to see you!
Stress Less Week, occurring the week before and/or leading into finals, provides different tables, events, and education for students to help manage the stress that comes with preparing for final exams. Each day of the week, we present a new program for students to participate in, culminating with our Stress Less Day event! previous programming has included outdoor yoga classes, game nights, teaching kitchens, Teatime with PAWS Therapy Dogs, and Chatter for Hatter Coffeehouse.
Every February, during the week of Valentine's Day, we celebrate Love Your Body Week where we celebrate self-love, body positivity and acceptance, and holistic well-being. This empowering week is dedicated to fostering a healthy relationship with your body through engaging events, workshops, and programs. Join us to embrace diversity, challenge societal beauty standards, and cultivate self-compassion. Together, let's honor every body, every story, every day. Our week ends with our RelationTips Fair, where we encourage everyone to develop a healthy relationship with themselves, significant others, family and friends, colleagues and peers, and even strangers.
Every month, we partner with the duPont-Ball Library to bring in some furry friends from PAWS Therapy Dogs to help our community to a break, give some pets, and get some love! During Stress Less Week, we host Teatime with PAWS, where our furry friends come in to help you de-stress while we serve up some tea and treats. Check out our Instagram for dates they'll be visiting!
Every month, we host CAN Community Health on campus to provide free STI and HIV testing for any member of the Stetson community. Check out our Instagram for dates they'll be visiting!
Every month, members of the WELL Team choose an in-season produce to showcase during a tabling event! You'll have the opportunity to try a new recipe that showcases the given fruit or vegetable as well as get the opportunity to try it on its own. Follow us on Instagram to get our monthly dates or check out the Stetson University calendar of events for events. Some previous Produce of the Month stars have included apples, bananas, oranges, eggplant, and so much more!
Each semester, we host 1-2 nights where we close the weight room down for female-identifying students and male-identifying students. We allow students to ask questions about how to use the equipment, have a personal trainer available to answer workout-related questions, have a sample workout, and do raffles! We are currently working to expand this programming to include non-gendered language and even have non-gendered opportunities for students who need the space to utilize the facility. The idea behind these events is to make the weight room more accessible for everyone, whether you're new to the gym or a seasoned user.
Chatter for Hatter is an engaging and interactive event where guest speakers from diverse backgrounds and expertise come together to spark lively open discussions on various intriguing topics. Designed to foster curiosity, dialogue, and connection, this event provides a welcoming space for participants to share perspectives, ask questions, and explore new ideas. Why is it called a coffeehouse? We typically host these events on the CUB Coffee Shop Patio! Students can typically earn a cultural credit for attending and a voucher for the coffee shop. Previous topics have included deep dives into different personality traits (The Four Temperaments), how to create a healthy schedule, spiritual wellness, and so much more! Have a topic idea?
