Jocelyn Newman
Associate Editor
Jocelyn is a second-year student and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Aging Law and Policy. Jocelyn also serves as Treasurer for Jewish Law Student Association. She is from Wellington, Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.S. in Entrepreneurship. In her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys watching movies and traveling with her friends and family.

Allison Rothman
Associate Editor
Allison Rothman is a second-year student and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, she graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science. Allison is passionate about family law and estate planning. She currently works as a law clerk at a local family law firm, serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Pinellas County, and is a member of the Canakaris American Inn of Court. Outside of law school, Allison enjoys scrap booking, spending time on the water with family and friends, and cheering for the Gators in any sport!

Leighton Scroggie
Associate Editor
Leighton Scroggie is a second-year student from Ocala, FL and serves as an Associate Editor. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2022. Leighton hopes to work in estate planning after graduation. Outside of law school, she loves to read, spend time with friends, do Pilates, and watch SEC football.

Niko Sousa
Associate Editor
Niko Sousa is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Aging Law and Policy. Niko grew up in Boston, MA and graduated from the University of Tampa with a degree in Business Management. Following graduation from law school, he will be joining Morgan & Morgan, P.A as an Associate Attorney in their Tampa office. Niko loves to work out, hang out with friends, and watch sports in his free time.

Peyton Stafford
Associate Editor
Peyton Stafford is a 23-year-old 2L student at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Fl. Peyton and his wife moved from Louisiana/Arkansas in August of 2023 to attend law school and pursue an elder law career, serving Florida’s large elderly population. He has successfully joined Stetson’s Elder Law Concentration, Journal of Aging Law and Policy, and Elder Law Society. In addition to the elder law field, Peyton has joined Stetson Law Review and the First-Generation Law Student Association. His activities outside of the classroom include volunteering weekly at an assisted living facility and expanding his network up and down Florida’s west coast, with hopes to soon begin work at an elder law firm.

Rachel Steinke
Associate Editor
Rachel Steinke is a second-year law student from Orlando, Florida, and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal. She earned a B.S in International Affairs and German from Florida State University. At Stetson, Rachel is also involved in the Elder Law Concentration and Stetson Ambassadors. Outside of classes, she enjoys knitting, baking, and training for her triathlon.

Tyler is a s a third-year student and an Associate Editor for the Journal. He is originally from Deland, Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Marketing. Outside of law school, he enjoys playing tennis, watching sports, and relaxing.
