Online LL.M. in Advocacy - Curriculum, Tuition and Financial Aid

CURRICULUM

  • Conferral of the Advocacy LL.M. degree requires successful completion of 24 credits in the approved curriculum.
    • Please note that not every course is offered every semester, but each course will be offered throughout your studies.
  • Courses are offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. New students may begin the program in August (start of Fall semester), or January (start of Spring semester).

    • Students must take Advanced Advocacy (6 credits) in the first Fall semester of their studies.  Students may otherwise choose to enroll in the required and elective courses that are offered each semester.

  • Students may enroll in up to as many as 6 credits (3 courses) and as few as 2 credits (1 course) per semester.
    • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 credit hours in the Fall and Spring, and 3 credit hours in the Summer, in order to qualify for federal aid disbursement. Please see a detailed breakdown of the Advocacy LL.M. Tuition and Fees below.
  • How many courses a student enrolls in per semester will determine how quickly they can complete the 24 credits needed to graduate.

TUITION

  • Tuition is currently $1,300 per credit hour, plus a $50 technology fee that is applied each semester.
    • So, for example, if a student took one, 2-credit class in a semester, their tuition for that semester would be $2,600, plus the $50 technology fee.
    • Although tuition and fees are subject to change, as of Fall 2024, the all-in tuition cost for the Program would be $31,200 ($1,300 x 24 credits), plus the $50 technology fee for each semester courses were taken.
  • Tuition and fees are applied and payable per semester, per credit hour taken.
    • Complete payment of these charges is due no later than the first day of class for each semester as displayed on the academic calendar.

FINANCIAL AID

  • Once you have completed the FAFSA we will send you an email outlining your eligibility and the additional steps you need to complete in order to ensure timely disbursement of your aid.

*Please know that international students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid; however, https://www.fastweb.com/ is a scholarship database for all students including international students and is for outside scholarships not awarded through Stetson.
