- Mission - Fostering Connections provides opportunities and connections to youth in grades Pre-K through 12 and their families impacted by foster care or adoption. Through education programs, community partnerships, and enrichment scholarships, we give each youth and their families the tools and resources they need to thrive in life. Founded in 2019 and based in Jacksonville, FL, Fostering Connections serves five counties, including Volusia County. We have been actively serving Volusia County since 2021.

- Specific Qualifications you are seeking - We seek individuals with personal or familial lived experiences related to mental health, behavioral challenges, substance misuse, or homelessness, as well as those who are passionate about and aligned with our mission and services. We are looking for professionals with a diverse range of skills to complement and enhance IMPOWER’s expertise. Specifically, we need to improve our outreach and awareness program and offer content and resources online for our survivors.

- Established Meeting Dates - very flexible, can work around your schedule no set time for the help that we need. We can zoom as well.
