Food insecurity is a systemic issue that can happen to anyone at any time. It is when someone can’t access the food they need to live their fullest life and includes skipping meals because they can’t afford to eat, eating less than they need because they can’t afford a full meal, feeling hungry but not being able to eat, not being able to afford to have a balanced meal, and not having money to get food.
